With pre-Illustrator 2018 versions there was a bug and the shortcut would be forgotten on closing Illustrator but this was fixed in Illustrator 2018. The script should now run every time you press the chosen function key with the selected key modifiers. Click on the square stop recording icon.File > Scripts > mySuperDuperScript then click OK. If you forgot to click on record this option could be grayed out. Click on the actions panels menu icon (located at the top right corner of the panel), click on "Insert Menu Item…".Click on record (The circle icon at the bottom of the panel).Assign it a function key with or without key modifiers (Shift / Control) as desired. Call it something informative like "My Super Duper Script", make sure it's plonked into the correct set. Windows users: Users > username > AppData. Create a new action by clicking on the actions panels folded paper icon. Open the Preferences > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator version Settings > local language > folder.Call is something really nice like "My Scripts" or "Creative Scripts" So, here it is: a single A4 printable cheat sheet that you can always have on your desk, ready to be checked. Lots of people downloaded it, and asked me if I could make the same thing for Illustrator. To create a new action set click on the actions panels folder icon. A few weeks ago I compiled a list of InDesign shortcuts that I use daily and made a A4 printable cheat sheet ( You can find it here ). Open the action panel Windows > Actions.The script should now appear in the File menu File > Scripts > mySuperDuperScript.If Illustrator is open then close it and restart it.Everytime, I have to double click on the 'Fill' to open 'Color Picker' where I get to paste the copied hex value, which is breaking my flow. I wish I could simply fill the elements by copying and pasting hex-values using keyboard shortcuts. Mac: Somewhere like "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC 2019/Presets/en_US/Scripts" One can easily navigate to this path by holding the command key and clicking on the Illustrator icon. 4 I'm working on various color schemes for my design elements. Windows: Somewhere like "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2019\Presets\en_US\Scripts" Copy the script file into Illustrators Scripts folder.
